How can one become a professional apologist?

If someone was interested in becoming an apologist by profession, what would you suggest that they do? What classes should they take in high school or college? Are there any universities with an Apologetics major? Should you just study philosophy and theology? Where could you find employment? Does the Church employ apologists? Thanks for your help! 👍
