How can one best llive Advent?

I’m thinking maybe try to be kinder to other people. Everyone is under pressure at work this time of year, everyone is trying to get ready for holidays too, and it’s a strain on people. It’s way worse than Lent because Easter is not as big of a celebration and it’s not happening at year-end when retail businesses and sales people are being pushed to have excellent sales figures, and a lot of other people are just being pushed to complete tasks.
 
One thing I love about being a Catholic is the liturgical seasons.

I’m personally increasing prayer doing an Advent devotional called Five Minutes with the Word, and as a family we are doing a daily devotional over dinner called Welcome Baby Jesus, and we have a Jesse tree with ornaments you add daily that have scripture readings, as well as our Advent wreath. We are also emphasizing almsgiving and are buying gifts for our parishes Giving Tree. I love Advent!
 
pray the rosary; attend daily mass & confession

i know that is easier said than done…
