How can priests advise on marital relations?

Yes. Which is why, the Jewish community used to require its Rabbis to be…Married! The way they figured it, how could you manage the congregation of the Living God, if you could not even manage a house hold? That being said. I like the Celibate clergy, for the confession aspect. They dont have a wife to blab to. I would not change this rule for the world. I actually see the wisdom in this policy. We do however have many Married Deacons, that could fulfill these counciling duties quite nicely. Peace 🙂
