How can the Saints understand our prayers?

Greetings:

When we ask for intercession to the Saints, how can they understand us given language barriers? Also, are our prayerful thoughts “heard” by them (without verbalized aloud or whispering)?

I pray with the understanding that these questions I have regarding the “mechanics” of prayer are being handled…as my prayers do seem to get answered.

Thank you for any feedback, guidance.

Understanding in the next life is done by mind, or nous, and not by the earthly appurtenances of the audio sense and language interpretation.

To be less philosophical and more concrete:

What did the Holy Spirit do, first thing, at Pentecost? Besides helping all the faithful to know, understand, and preach the mighty acts of God, He gave the gifts of tongues so that all might understand what was being preached. I seriously doubt that He would deprive that same gift (essential for full communion between humans living together) to the saints in Heaven. Probably for them the Resurrection has already occurred, because there is no time in Eternal Life. They have infinite time to hear and understand all in Christ.

Do not think in terms of the here and now, with its limits. The saints are perfected, and made blessed by God. They have achieved theosis and are partaking of the divine nature. In God, they are blessed and renewed.

It is by the same reason that those who are scrupulous should not worry…it is what is in our hearts that say so much more than words.

The saints have the Holy Spirit in a degree we cannot imagine!

There have been quite of few illustrations in the bible of the angels speaking to people. For instance, in Mark’s gospel, an angel sat at the right in the tomb and spoke to Mary Magdalene, and an angel stood there among the shepherds Christmas night and spoke with them. They are pure spirits. We are spirits, tho not pure spirits in heaven. So there shouldn’t be a problem of saints speaking with us any more than the angels speak with us.

May God bless and keep you. May God’s face shine on you. May God be kind to you and give you peace.
