How can two confirmed Catholics who got married outside of the church have their marriage recognized by the church after the fact?

My best friend and her fiancé are both baptized, confirmed Catholics. They have chosen, despite friends’ and family’s protests, to get married by a friend who received online ordination. As I encourage my friend to seek to have her marriage recognized by the Catholic Church, what are the options I could recommend to her? Is it possible to have the marriage blessed or would they need to be married licitly in the Church?

They would need to provide records of their sacraments (baptism, 1st communion, confirmation), proof of their civil marriage, and agree to the Church’s understanding of marriage. They would then exchange vows in front of a Catholic priest or deacon and two witnesses.
