My husband and I are expecting our first child in February. We are both cradle Catholics but would like to continue to delve deeper into our faith. Especially now that we are going to have a baby, we want to be better prepared to teach him or her about our faith. We would love to read the Catechism and would like to know if there is a supplemental book, study guide or thoughts on how best to read, retain and understand the information. We want to learn as a couple, and individually for our own personal growth, but not in a group study. I would really appreciate any books or websites that may help, and also if there are any books on teaching the faith to young children at home. Thanks for your assistance!

The recommendations depend on what area you would like to grow in, so I’ve broken them down by topic. All of them will help you continue to grow in your faith, so you won’t go wrong with any on the list. If you have any further questions or concerns that are not answered by these links, please contact Catholic Answers directly.
