How can we ever be sure?

Dear Fr. Vincent Serpa:
How can we really prove that Jesus Christ was God himself?
How can we ever know for sure that there is not an unknown spiritual power behind religion and Christ which did all the biblical miracles etc. and just claimed to be God /Christ?
I have doubts. Please help. Thank´s so much.

Dear Julian,

I have no reason to doubt that Jesus is God. Who would ever have, in his wildest dreams, considered that a God who created us from nothing would love us so much that He would take on our limitations as human beings and then allow us to torture and put Him to death—to overcome our sinful actions? We just don’t think that way. Jesus is worth our trust.
