How can we find a suitable godparent?

We’re Catholic and want to have our baby baptized Catholic, but all of our friends we’d consider to be good Christians aren’t Catholic. What should we do? Should we just not baptize at all? Should we baptize in another faith without so many godparent rules? Can we baptize without listed godparents?

Please help!

Note: Our “baby” is already 1-1/2 without being baptized because we just can’t seem to find a godparent!
 
You should get your baby baptized in the Catholic Church as soon as possible. Godparents are not absolutely required for baptism in the Church, but the Church does strongly urge that there be at least one godparent. If you can’t find someone you know well to be a godparent, then ask an orthodox Catholic priest, deacon, or religious to be the godparent.
