Do you feel like you know more about God, Jesus and Mary, or do you feel like you know God, Jesus and Mary? Or both?
With our best efforts we can’t truly know them on this earth - as St Paul says, we see through a glass darkly, and it is only in heaven that we shall know as we are known. Nor can we know all ABOUT them, just in part.Do you feel like you know more about God, Jesus and Mary, or do you feel like you know God, Jesus and Mary? Or both?
most of the time, i feel like i know more ABOUT them (i.e. as historical figures rather than as close personal friends). maybe this has to do with not really knowing what people mean by, or what it feels like to have, a “close personal relationship” with God, Jesus, Holy Ghost, Mary.Do you feel like you know more about God, Jesus and Mary, or do you feel like you know God, Jesus and Mary? Or both?
so when someone “feels” called to be a priest, they should just ignore it? i think we go by BOTH feelings and facts. God did give us both, right?Don’t forget, Jesus IS God Incarnate.
Also, we don’t go by feelings, but facts and faith.
I follow Christ through the stewardship of the Catholic Church. I prefer not to use language common to Protestant-type worship, such as references to my having a ‘personal relationship with Christ’, my being ‘born-again’, my being ‘saved’, etc., etc. I believe it’s important to choose carefully the language I employ to describe my faith. I am Catholic, period, and my faith is the most important part of my life. In fact, I have no life outside my religion. That’s how pervasive it is in everything I do and say. Praise God.Do you feel like you know more about God, Jesus and Mary, or do you feel like you know God, Jesus and Mary? Or both?
As a teacher, it is most rewarding that I am able to directly imitate Jesus as teacher. Doing so gives me the greatest sense of answering my calling to discipleship.most of the time, i feel like i know more ABOUT them (i.e. as historical figures rather than as close personal friends). maybe this has to do with not really knowing what people mean by, or what it feels like to have, a “close personal relationship” with God, Jesus, Holy Ghost, Mary.
