How come the 9th Sunday in Ordinary Time does not follow Eastertide?

Today is the 8th Sunday in Ordinary Time. I was looking at the Missal at church which has the list of Sunday Readings for the year. Based on what I read, the 9th Sunday in Ordinary Time is not assigned either in Years A, B or C. This is through 2034.

The next Sunday in Ordinary Time comes as the Thirteenth Sunday on Jun 30th.

While I’m not really bullish on Wiki, I think this helps.

The actual number of complete or partial weeks of Ordinary Time in any given year can total 33 or 34. In most years, Ordinary Time comprises only 33 weeks,[6][7] so the Church omits one week that otherwise would precede the resumption of Ordinary Time following Pentecost Sunday. For example, in 2011, the Sunday before Ash Wednesday was the Ninth Sunday in Ordinary Time, but the day after Pentecost Sunday began the 11th Week in Ordinary Time.

So this year and most years, apparently, when Ordinary Time comprised only 33 weeks, and this year Ash Wednesday fell in the middle of week 8, then week 9 is omitted, and week 10 starts the Monday after Pentecost.
