I am in a very good mood right now, so I am just gonna type out one of them hippie topics. Prepare yourselves.

How come Christians fight each other? Debating, thats good, helps the mind, but some of what I see, not just on here, is just flat out bashing. It is like gangs. One bashes the other, the other retaliates, it counter-retaliatites, goes on and on and on. Rather retarded.

I think we should all unite under Orthocatholotastints (Catholics+Orthodox+Protestants=ITS OVER 9000!).

Well, that might not work, but this might.

How about we have a minister from every church (yes I mean every physical church) meet at certain locations, probably 1 per state, and for Europe and others, 1 per province, or however, and they vote on certain subjects, larger subjects, such as:

Homosexuality, Women Preachers, Abortion, and others.

Then all of them elect 1 to represent them, then they meet at a national one ,then they elect 1 to represent them, then International. I doubt it’d work, but just throwing things out.

Or we could just work on more focused issues seperately. I would focus on these mainly:

Trinity, Prayer, Respect, Tolerance, Intelligence (If I ran a church, I’d want every member to be able to recite the bible, but thats just cause I am insane over lack of organization and lack of policy).

I would say we fight because we are human and not perfect. We believe certain things and want to be right. Our pride makes it difficult to admit that what we believe might be wrong. We fight when someone threatens our sense of being right, especially when we have difficulty substantiating our position.

It is something we should try to avoid though.

With 9000 strands of Christian faith there are many inconsistencies of belief. They can’t all be true, the opposite beliefs. What is true in God is true, whatever our opinions or doctrines or beliefs. If white is white, it is white…we can vote it’s gray, but that doesn’t make it so just because we vote that way in order to satisfy anyone who may assert that white is actually black…to use a weak analogy!

However, while voting a certain way doesn’t mean that we are consistent with God’s reality and truth…what we all so need to be is compassionate, reasonable Christians, obeying the command to love God above all and others as ourselves…treating each other as we would wish to be treated.

This wouldn’t work. Those who didn’t like the outcome of the votes would just break off and start their own denominations. This isn’t a shot at Protestantism it is just what would happen. Liberal Christians would not remain in a Church that voted down their liberal beliefs and conservatives wouldn’t remain if the vote went the other way. Look at the Anglican Communion.

Well, God only made one Christian Church… It’s not the Catholics who left it for whatever reason one might come up with that they do not desire to be part of the Church built by Christ. This was the violence done by those who left. You cannot leave the Church without doing violence to the teachings of Christ. If you’re looking for where the violence comes from in Christianity… there it is.

Since there is only one Church built by Christ, and all who follow Him are called to be in this Church, why establish one that He did not build? This is another distortion and way to subvert God’s plan.

All of God’s family are called to be in His house… the house of the living God, the pillar and bulwark of truth… the Catholic Church, which Christ built on the rock who became named rock in Aramaic… Kepha (Petros in Greek, Peter in English). I’m staying in my home, which Jesus the Christ built. No man made church can compare. Come join us, if you truly love Christ, and seek to follow Him above all.

The Catholic Church is not a democracy where the members vote on the most favored ideas. How skewed from the truth would we be if the members voted? And thank goodness we -the public- cannot not vote.

My take is that Christians did get caught up in their identity, rites and rituals (and arguments about the nature of Christ), instead of seeking the Kingdom of God within.

And yet, truth is truth. If we honor the way Christ established His Church, we’re honoring the truth. Why argue with or against the truth? If you’re not seeking the Truth, then how can one say the Kingdom of God is within? It is then some other kingdom one is supporting. Are we really a home for Christ when we reject what He established… choosing our way over His? Let’s choose His way, and we can be united in Him. He gave us the way, it’s up to us to follow.

It’s the truly humble to are able to respond to God’s call. The arrogant decide their own religion, which in the US you are free to do. It’s just if you want to be in the Kingdom of God, there is only one Church, built by Christ.

If you really understood the truth, you would realize that God has already told you these things… that you choose not to listen is done at your own peril.

I have no reason to doubt you’re trying to do what’s best, but are you really doing so? Thus far, you’ve shown a large dose of arrogance and derision. Is that what Christ commands of us? Is that best, or the best you can do? Does this come from the proper interpretation of Scriptures?

Even the least Protestant who is able to read, can tell from Scriptures that God Created one Church… Scriptures don’t read plural “churches.” One who truly seeks Christ will find Him. Where He is most fully, is in His Church who really makes Him present to the world. I’ve been inside Protestant churches, and it’s of no comparison… errant teachings, no valid priesthood, no valid Eucharist, can’t do confessions, etc. It’s just people making their own religion they way they want it to be… not the way Christ made it to be. The truth is the truth. You choose whether to be with the Truth and of the Truth, or form your own man made version of what you want. So far, it’s the latter that you’re expressing. If you say you love Christ, then walk the talk.

I never said I was too smart. I don’t know where you get that from. You might want to learn my reasons before you think of some, but anyways. I do not think the RCC is wrong, but I don’t think they are perfect. I would explain why, but I doubt it would really matter to you, and if you want you can PM me for a personal talk, but other than that, happy trails.
