im so happy you can read Gods mind mosacked. i feel much better now. 😃 i dont read anywhere in the scriptures where it says, MUSLIMS ARE GOING TO HELL! you must have a unique translation. peace 🙂
benidict, good christians will not go to hell. Any person of any faith, provided keeps away from idols and othe rGods besid ethe One God need not fear.

I am a Muslim. I believe that jesus was the promised Messiah for the Jews. It is written in the Quran. Muhammad believed that Jesus was the Messiah. So the verse 1 John 2:22 doe snot apply to us. Thanks.

hi planten. Peace to you. yes, i own a copy of the koran, and have read that you believe Jesus is messiah. we have more in common, than the fundamentalist of both our faiths would have us believe. maybe you can answer a question i have. why does the koran, state it was someone else up on the cross instead of Jesus? does islam teach that Jesus did not have to die to fulfill his purpose on earth. thank you for your time. Peace 🙂

John 1:2.22 is certainly applicable. Just too bad you are deliberately blinding yourself and others like you.

1 John 2:22 Who is the Liar? It is the man who denies that Jesus is the Messiah. Such a man is the Antichrist—he denies the Father (God) and the Son (Jesus).

Who is the Anti-Christ? It is the one who denies the Father (God) and the Son (Jesus).

benidict, the Quran mentions jesus as the Messiah. It also mentions Jesus and his disciples in good words. It tells good things about Mary, the mother. The Quran tells better things about the disciples of Jesus, much better than what bibleNT describes. Quran states that the disciples stood by Jesus.

Now about your question that Quran states it was some one else on the Cross. That is not right. it is not in the Quran that it was some one else on the Cross. Quran says that it Jesus himself on the cross. When brought down from the cross he was alive (not dead). But he appeared to the people as dead a person, as if dead.

If you can read Arabic then I can tell you the exact words, and I will try to do so anyhow. But later. The idea that it was some one else on the cross is a foreign idea that has been introduced into muslim books by some unknown person. That news is niether in the Quran nor in the Hadith. So please forget that.

Islam believes in the son (Jesus) and the Father (God). The Muslims believe that Jesus was the Messiah. So the verse of John does not apply to them. It would apply to those who do not consider Jesus as the Messiah.

hi planten. thank you for your thoughtful response. your answer leads to my 2nd question. is the english tranlation of the koran correct? i have heard this from other Muslims, that you really do need to be able to read arabic to get a correct translation. what translation would be the best in english. is there one that has good footnotes. i have been able to learn just a tiny bit of arabic, so i can talk to the iraqis i have been fortunate to meet.( i like chai!) am going to have to learn the language. it is beautiful. Peace to you and yours. 🙂

hi mosacked. Jesus also said, whoever is not against us is for us. the desciples were upset at somone who was not one of theres proclaiming Jesus. taking the whole council of God, i would never presume to just throw the word anti-christ anywhere. besides. anti-christ is a poor translation. it should read false Christ or sudo Christ. i dont think the muslims fit this description. also a question for you. how are the fundamentalist christians, any different in their thought process from the fundamentalist muslims we are at war with? the only difference i see, is that you have not resorted to violence to get your point across yet. peace 🙂

hi , bendicit
i just wanna to tell you that Planten from ahmadi sect
they have some issues which differes than 95 % of muslims , just keep that in your mind
i just fear you may will feel confused 🙂

why would God contradict himself and send another prophet contradicting christ. if he didn’t who did. even the devil believes in Christ.
Islam is either coming from God and we are being decieved by the devil or we are right and the devil is decieving muslims.
you are confusing hate and an unwillingness to be decieved by the devil.
I am not saying all muslims go to hell. I am saying the devil is confusing people so they don’t worship the trinity. Jesus in the eucharist.
Jesus could not be God because he was killed, but merely a prophet. does this sound like something God would say.
what did Jesus say to peter in mark 31 when peter chided him for saying he would be rejected by the chief scribes and be put to death. get behind me satan.

what was written exactly in quran ?
Let’s look at verse 4:156-159
“That they rejected Faith; That they uttered against Mary A grave false charge; That they said (in boast): ‘We killed Christ Jesus The son of Mary, The Messenger of Allah.’ But they killed him not, Nor crucified him, but so it was made to appear to them, and those who differ therein are full of doubts, with no (certain) knowledge, but only conjecture to follow, for of a surety they killed him not. Nay, Allah raised him up Unto Himself; and Allah Is Exalted in Power, Wise. And there is none of the people of the book (Jews and Christians) But must believe in him (Jesus) Before his death; And on the Day of Judgment He (Jesus) will be a witness Against them.”

what is written in quran is that it’s made to appear to them , what is that exactly mean ? it can means they thought he was killed , it can to mean they imagined he was dead , it can mean they put someone else who they thought was jesus himself . it can to mean that it was propoganda that he was curcified
how it was made to appear to them exactly isn’t mentioned in the verses
but what is so clear from us is that he wasn’t put on the cross and didn’t die ,

The Orthodox-Christian Churches make it a cardinal point of their doctrine that his life was taken on the Cross, that he died and was buried, that on the third day he rose in the body with his wounds intact, and walked about and conversed, and ate with his disciples, and was afterwards taken up bodily to heaven.

The Basilidans believed that someone else was substituted for him.

** The Docetate** held that Christ never had a real physical or natural body, but only an apparent or phantom body, and that his crucifixion was only apparent, not real.

The Marcionite Gospel (about A.C. 138) denied that Jesus was born, and merely said that he appeared in human form.
**The Gospel of St. Barnabas **supported the theory of substitution on the Cross.

** The Quranic teaching** is that Christ was not crucified nor killed by the Jews, not with standing certain apparent circumstances which produced that illusion in the minds of some of his enemies; that disputations, doubts, and conjectures on such matters are vain; and that he was taken up to Allah Almighty.

hi elwill. thx again for your response. this is helpful. i always like to get somthing straight from the source, so i can better understand, and not mis-represent someone elses beliefs. this is good. i really appreciate your time. the problem with the link that is presented, is it gives half truths perpetrated by fundamentalist christians, who hate Catholics as much as Muslims. im sure they have a chapter on evil Catholics too!😃 ill have to look. Peace to you and yours. and again thank you for your answers. also do you have a good translation of the quaran i can look for? thx 🙂

hello saveusfromhell. i dont think any fellow Catholic would disagree with you here. the point of this thread is to point out a link that is full of half truths and lies about Isam. if you have had the chance to meet Muslims, think about how your encounter went. doctrinaly we disagree with them. whole heartedly on their teachins of Christ. but this site makes them out to be completely evil. trust me. the people who are putting out this type of information, have no love for you either. Peace to you and yours. 🙂

thank you very much planten. i am trying to find out all i can about islam. in a short while, i will be immersed in their culture, and need to know all i can. have found out some interesting things. such as the head scarves. i gues red checkered means they are ruled by a monarchy, such as in saudi arabia. and white, means they have not made the haj. also black and white mean they have a president as their head. many cultural differences to be aware of. your help and elwills are very much appreciated. Peace 🙂

I don’t know if you guys have read a book called the Apocrypha written by one of the founders of the Satanic church.

Well, I READ it. From page 1 to the last. Although I wasn’t sure if I should be reading it. But believe me, after reading it I think I have a better idea what is going on.

…Everything that you read in the Bible is TRUE.

The devil (according to his admission written in the book) claims that he was cast down onto earth and his insignia - the pentagram, a star (5 pointed star) within a circle was chosen because it shows his ‘imprisonment’ on earth (as he so claims)…the star - 5 pointed depicts the goathead (2 ears, one goatie and 2 horns), the circle depicts earth. The breaking of the circle shall depict his escape…his sign of triumph and apostasy. A long awaited challenge to the above Almighty when Satan finally gathers his millions of followers against the people of God.

Now…THINK. What is a broken circle with a 5 pointed star in it?

Not SURE?..Take a look at this:

actually mosacked. wrong again. the 5 pointed star, or goats head or goat of medes, means this. the two points up, represent duality. the three points down represent anti- trinitarianism. the hebrew letters surrounding the star, spell out leviathan, and represent the primordial Chaos from which we all emerged. oh and the beard stands for occult wisdom. 😃 goodness, is it really that difficult to get this kind of stuff right? why read into symbols that which is not there? its not a global satanic, Catholic, Jewish, Muslim, Morman, or alien conspiracy. PLEASE im gonna die laughing here!:rotfl: Peace 🙂
