How could ANY Christian support gay marriage, considering Matt. 19:1-12?

[Jesus] said in reply, “Have you not read that from the beginning the Creator ‘made them male and female’ and said, ‘For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh?’ So they are no longer two, but one flesh. So why do people claim to follow Jesus Christ, yet believe that same-sex marriage is okay with God? I mean, Jesus could not be any clearer here with his divine endorsement of the sanctity of a male-female union:

GOD MADE US MALE AND FEMALE, AND FOR THIS REASON A MAN JOINS HIS WIFE TO BECOME ONE FLESH.

Yet, I still hear about so many Christians trying to justify gay marriage, even saying that it’s supported by the message of love in the Gospel! I know that some people are swayed by the idea that marriage is a great, love-filled thing that everyone should be able to enjoy, but Jesus DID say that “Some are incapable of marriage…”

I mean, is there any way that this statement by Jesus could possibly be distorted, because I don’t understand how a same-sex marriage supporting Christian deals with this contradiction in their mind.

And I know that this quote was directly responding to a question about divorce, but it doesn’t change the fact that Jesus DEFINED MARRIAGE right in his reply!
 
They do not and cannot, but there are many anitchrists in the world who pretend to be Christians, just because someone claims to be something does not mean they are.

“Now I beseech you, brethren, to mark them who make dissensions and offences contrary to the doctrine which you have learned, and avoid them. For they that are such, serve not Christ our Lord, but their own belly; and by pleasing speeches and good words, seduce the hearts of the innocent.” Romans 16:17-18

“But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach a gospel to you besides that which we have preached to you, let him be anathema. As we said before, so now I say again: If any one preach to you a gospel, besides that which you have received, let him be anathema. For do I now persuade men, or God? Or do I seek to please men? If I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.” Galatians 1:8-10
 
From the Protestant Reformation to today (you could even go back to the East - West split), there are only two things that divide the church.
  1. Pride
  2. Justification of sin.
