How did Adam talk to God?

Do theologians have any theories as to in what way God revealed Himself to Adam? A Christophany perhaps?

St. Paul asserts that the burning bush, the deliverance of the law, and all such later incidences that we know of were in fact angels. God makes of his angels flames of fire, and burning wind…

In the desert the Shekina glory cloud, and on the mountain where Moses met God – the storm, fire, and trumpet blasts are all manifestations caused by Angels at God’s bidding.

It ought not be a surprise (then) that `Adam was cast out of the Garden (and the chariot of God) with an Angel (A Cherubim) becoming the wall between Adam and his access to God. Likewise, I think it appropriate to surmise that Angels conveyed God’s messages to Adam.

In Ezekiel, and Elijah (Going up in the firey Chariot – a “storm” chariot if you will), the Cherubim carry about God’s throne; or may even form the “seat” he sits on (so to speak). These are also what the statues made of Gold were called, that are built on top of the ark of the covenant to form the “mercy” seat.

In Isaiah, we learn that God’s throne is also surrounded by Seraphim (The angels that cry Holy Holy Holy night and day, there being four of them around his throne at the “four” corners, and each having “four” faces. Isaiah did not speak to God directly, but to angels, and he received a coal of fire from the sanctuarie’s (or possibly paradise’s) altar which cleansed his lips for speaking.

The word “angel” means messenger. They are God’s mouth here in this place, and tell us exactly what he says. Why God spoke to us through intermediaries during the times preceeding his Son coming into the world is something of a mystery to me…

But that’s what can inspect in scripture when looking at the Garden, There we learn of angels of light and firery sword, and an angel of death and murder, vying with each other to control Adam’s actions.

I’m not sure what you mean by a christophany, as Adam himself would have been inside the place of holiness (in the chariot, or – under it at the altar) when he was in Paradise; He himself would have been “son” of God as Luke tells us; and I think it fairly clear that the walls of paradise were not physical ones, but angelic; His christening would have been from the holiness of some altar not directly spoken of – but formed somehow by the presence of the Cherubim…
