Hi…
I am just wondering how the Church came about the doctrine of the "Ever Virginity "of Mary. I do respect and accept that it is the teaching of Holy Mother Church, but all writings I stumble across on the issue are more defensive rather than informative of its origins.
Was it revealed to one of the saints/mystics in the early church? or Was it recorded by a historian or captured in one of the non-biblical or apocryphal books?
Any help will be appreciated.
