I’m not sure this is the proper place to start this thread, so please excuse.
I have always truly admired Paul and find him to be a very fascinating figure in the Bible. I know this does not make me unique. The Daily Mass readings over the last few days have covered Paul’s conversion. I know that the Disciples must have viewed him with suspicion and skepticism. The thing that came out to me is that after Paul’s conversion, the Church experienced a time of peace and growth. So, I take from this that Paul played a major role in persecuting the Church. His conversion seems to take the wind out of the persecution sails sort of speak. And, is there any historical evidence that would illucidate the Jewish reaction to Paul’s conversion? It must have come as a serious blow. Did they question their policy of persecution? Did they simply lack a ramrod? Or, was Paul a one man persecution team?
