How did you meet your significant other? Have any funny or cute stories on how you met your spouse or boyfriend or girlfriend?

Here, believe it or not!..We have actually been talking for the last several months, and now that he took a job closer…I get to meet him…TOMORROW! 😃 Butterflies…et.all…

We met on the Catholic OnLine Forum (Fr. Z.'s forum). 😃 He was in England, I am here in the States. After about two years of back and forth, engagement, discernment, immigration madness…we were married four years ago this September and now we both live here! 😃

YAY!

I met mine on my front porch. He moved into the aparment next to mine (which shares a porch.) He was always sitting out on the porch in an umbrella chair because he had no furniture for a while (used to work on a boat, so no need.)

We talked a lot and I tried not to date him for a while because it sounded like a really terrible idea to date my next door neighbor. I don’t regret it. 🙂

We met on the steps of the church where we were married. 🙂 I was in RCIA, and he was involved with a ministry there. He always offered to walk me home from church.

I used to be the ID photographer for the University of Illinois at Chicago.

I met my future wife when she came through as an incoming freshman. Due to a couple of mechanical errors, her photo had to be re-taken twice. During that time, I noticed how especially adorable she was–even the look of typical martyrdom from having to sit for a photo three times.

Chicago has the best-looking women on the planet, and I photographed literally thousands of them. But she had something that not only caught my eye but captured my heart.

It took her sixteen years to make up her mind to marry me, and during that time I dated more than a few women, but I never felt about anyone the way I felt about her.

So when we got married, it was a surprise to a lot of people–but not to us.

We bothed lived in a more rural area so we had to take a small bus that went into the bigger town. So our kids think its funny we met on the bus. We will celebrate 10 years in December.

So taking the bus everyday to work might find me love. 😃 That story is so cute!

We met when we were 8 years old. We lived one street away from each other and he was a friend of my brother’s. We began to date in high school and got married two weeks after graduation at age 18! We will be married 38 years this June! 🙂

She was a student at the same college. She worked in the rec department and would call once a week to let my roommates know they had a racquetball court reserved. I loved her voice and invited her over. She knew some of my roommates, but didn’t really know me so she was cautious about it since no one was going to be at my apartment when she was going to arrive. I tried to put her at ease by saying I would make her the most innocent offer I could. I invited her over for milk and cookies, telling her I was actually going to make Chocolate chip cookies for her. I did. She came over…and we still have a “cookie day” anniversary every year.

How sweet is that! How many years have you “had cookies”?

We were both Air Force firefighters and on the same shift stationed in California. :o

We will be married 23 years in August. She converted in 1990 while she was pregnant.🙂

We met in Las Vegas. Woohoo!

It was at a computer show. I had just finished grad school and my dad suggested I go out to it with him to help friends out and to network. He introduced me to the twenty-something girl that ran the booth. I ended working for her at another booth for the week, but a few weeks later her boss called and offered me a job. The girl and I worked on opposite ends of the country but traveled to various computer shows every month - and fell in love. About 18 months later our division centralized and we both moved to the same city. A couple of years later we married. We will celebrate out 15th aniv in June.
