For both a man and a woman… both already baptized but receiving Confirmation and First Communion. I know that children wear white… are adults supposed to do this as well??

Thank you!
I should think that regular Church clothes would be fine.

White blouse, black wool skirt, tights. The blouse had tiny little black flowers on it as I recall; don’t know whatever happened to it. I loved it.

Three of us were confirmed in 2007. I wore a pastel flowered long skirt with a pastel blue blazer. The Nigerian woman with me wore a native dress which was very colorful and had a matching headdress with it. The man who was confirmed with us was homeless and he wore the best clothing he had at the time. If we had known he needed a new shirt we would have bought him one but I think he was embarrassed to ask us.

No need. Wear nice modest clothes, but color doesn’t matter here. Welcome to the Caitholic Church! 🙂 :hug1:

The adults that get received into the church at Easter Vigil typically wear something modest that is also appropriate for Mass. Most men will go for a dress shirt and pants at minimum from what I’ve seen in the past. Women will go typically for a dressy top with skirt or dress pants, some may go for a dress.

Since “church clothes” could mean anything from shorts and tennies to a soccer uniform depending on your parish, I’ll go further and recommend that you wear something like you would wear if you were invited to a wedding…
