How do alcoholics receive the precious blood?

I am an alcoholic and an Evangelical who wants to convert to being a Catholic. How can I ever take the wine in the Eucharist? How do the millions of alcoholics who are Catholic take the cup?
 
There is no need for lay Catholics to receive the Eucharist from the cup. A full and complete Communion is made by receiving either the host or from the cup. For many centuries, lay Catholics only received the host precisely to drive home to them that understanding of Communion.
