How do Catholics go to hell?

Well the Catholic Mass may cause cancer (I doubt it somehow) but this article defiantly causes laughter.

One silly thing that stands out for me was on Modern candles, these are generally made from paraffin which is some form of medium to long-chain hydrocarbon made from oil rather than rendered pig fat. Indeed what the author may have been thinking of is tallow which was historically used to make candles and is rarely used now, although even then it was normally using beef or mutton fat.

The rest is just your bog standard anti-catholic nonsense.

Obviously you have already received a lot of info from others but I would like to toss in my 2 cents here…

You say above that you "read more about the Catholicism and this (article) really scared you…My dear one…This article is not about Catholicism. It is about what the devil wants people to think about Catholicism…
The article is devoid of any useful information for any serious student of faith.

If you truly want to read more about Catholicism then read Catholic materials, just as if you want to learn about Methodists read Methodist materials…

If you have family members that actually subscribe to such ridiculous beliefs about the Church then you obviously have a lot of teaching to do in order to help them better understand the faith…

We’ll be happy to help.

Peace

Thank you so much I really need help in my faith, I’m a 15 year old boy I’m
Maronite and my mom is a non practicing Roman Catholic and whenever I express my faith with my family it’s always them trying to " correct
me".

My grandmother claims the devil is messing up my soul because I don’t go to church ( the born again church) but I don’t want to because I don’t agree with there doctrine. I try my hardest to go to a catholic church it’s just that I’m not in full communion with the church yet, and I woudent be able to go because my family besides my mother would flip out on me.

The only thing I was able to do on Sundays was to watch masses on T.V. And read spiritual books on Catholicism. And read my bible and pray my rosary, and also the chaplet.

So I don’t understand how the devil is tearing up my soul? I didn’t realise and feel guilty untill she has said that.

As others have said we are happy to help clarify the misconceptions non-Catholics often have. That article makes many unsubstantiated claims about the Catholic Church but nothing to worry about. Was there any particular item in this article that worried you? or anything in particular your grandmother said about the Catholic Church that has you worried?

The Devil always tries to tempt us into doubt, but examining the points raised by non-Catholics in the clear light of day will help us to come to know the Truth God has revealed to us.

God Bless

Thank you so much I really appreciate it I’ll explain it all! Okay so
my family before I was born use to be catholic but left because they thought it was a white cult and they became protestants but 93% of my country which is cape verdie is catholic, so when I was born I went to the Pentecostal church and didn’t learn a thing so I was sent to a catholic school and learned so much and I loved that religion so much as a little kid and it brought me so close to god! Now to make a long story short, I had a dream that nuns came to me in that same exsact schools parking lot they all came to me and said they had a message from god to become catholic and we prayed to Mary and then I woke up in shock! I even asked god is this really for me? And jesus drew me near him through Catholicism.

So last July I went to the born again church to volenteer watching children in the summer and with the spiritual teachers I expressed my faith in Catholicism and they flipped out on me bad saying Catholics kill Jesus every mass for communion, idol worship( which I know for a fact isent true), the pope keeps changing the true gospal and all this other Protestant drama and lies they hold. So i got in lots of trouble with her and ever since that, that church talked about how religion can pull you away from god etc. All because of me:sad: and last night my grandmother was telling me the devil tore up my soul because i don’t attend there church anymore. She said I use to love going to church now I’m confuse and messed up in religion she says. Now I don’t know what to do anymore I’m confused I mean does it really matter what kinda Christian I am? We all worship the same lord and savior god dosent want us arguing with scripture and debate.

I really need help god bless!

You are in a tough situation for now owing to your age and family dynamic. But please know that you have tremendous support here at CAF.

You can learn nothing about the faith from people who demonize other Christians. Nor can you learn anything from websites they might recommend to you. If you want to learn the Truth about the Faith i suggest you being with the Catholic Church Catechism. If you scroll down to the bottom of the page you will find a search engine that will help you to look up specific points within the catechism, but I also suggest that you begin at the beginning and simply read a bit everyday.

As to some of the ridiculous suggestions already made…the mass is not a “rekilling” of Jesus but a “making present” the one sacrifice. From the Catechism:
1366 The Eucharist is thus a sacrifice because it re-presents (makes present) the sacrifice of the cross, because it is its memorial and because it applies its fruit…
The Catechism can provide much good information so that when you mother tries to “correct you” you will be able to check her understanding against actual Church teaching…and of course you can always ask here at CAF as well.

As far as general comments like “The Pope keeps changing the Gospel”, one simply needs to ignore such statements and ask for specifics…Trust me - most have already been brought up here already and thoroughly discussed. So whatever is offered, bring it on…

As far as your family’s attacks on the faith, about the best you can do for now is to be the best example of Christian Charity that you can be. Pray for them, be kind and gentle with them, but remain firm in your faith. Defend the faith as best you are able, but do not attack them or their faith…Simply seek to debunk the errors that they present to you about Catholicism.
Over time, your charity and ability to provide good, knowledgeable, documented answers to their objections will begin to wear them down…

So keep bringing your questions and reading good Catholic sources. 👍

Peace
James

How do Catholics go to hell…in the documents of Vatican II…that interprets faith for today’s times and…graces as well…meaning what the basic person has some sense of reality and right vs wrong…

Although there are Catholics who follow the Church laws, like going to every Sunday Mass and fasting on days of Lent…but do not have charity in their heart for their neighbor…and you can take this from the Gospel…I was hungry, naked, in prison, a stranger…did you feed me, clothe me, visit me, welcome me?..all works of charity for one’s neighbor…if Catholics do not have charity in their heart, not only will they be condemned, but will be more severely punished.

I will return to provide the source for this…

This is why Protestant churches are too boring for me.
You and I have been to very different Protestant churches.

I could certainly direct you to a few where the services run just shy of “chaotic.”

Well, hum still thinking on this.🤷
Rubbish! Absolute Rubbish! Thats it Rubbish.👍

God bless

Revelations 5:8

“And when he had taken the book, the four beasts and four and twenty elders fell down before the Lamb, having every one of them harps, and golden vials full of odours, which are the prayers of saints.” KJV
Hi Link0126 Thank you for the post and the info.

“Catholic Mass Causes Cancer”

“Candles and incense have no place in Christian worship”

Hmm 🤷

The only thing I would be worried about after reading that are the people who wrote this trash. This is the most stupid **** I’ve ever heard.

P.S. There are a lot of things you could criticize the Catholic Church on, but cancer causing liturgical ceremonies and candles???
I tried to go to this site but got a forbidden on this server error. Anyone know why?

Guys, you need to be careful linking these sites. They might have virises attacthed which is why for some, they are getting a ‘forbidden’ message. If people do not have a good anti-viris program, it might be a danger to their computer.
