How do I be a good mom?

I have 4 children who live with their father in a different state. I only see them twice a year. How do I be a good mom/parent long distance? We are all Catholics.
 
This must be difficult for all those involved ,
All you can do is show you love & compassion beyond arms reach,
How do you do that ?
Perhaps take a vidio of where you live, where you work , where you Pray,
Where you go out to eat, Parks that you walk through,
Perhaps there is a circus in town, film it and always give a commentary ,
You may as well be in a Foreign Country far away ,
Well film it as that is where you are, and always tell them you miss them,
Tell them you love them, and pray for the day when all this pain is healed,
And you could once again be a part of there lives,
 
Thank you for your response. Those are all wonderful recommendations. I have taken them all to heart and will try my best to put them into practice. I have never been good with video, always taking pictures instead, but it is time to step out of my comfort zone. Again, thank you, you have been beyond helpful.

Move to the state where they live and get a court order of visitation that disallows their father to move out of state with them.

A Prayer For Mothers

All-loving God, we give you thanks and praise for mothers young and old.

We pray for young mothers, who give life and count toes and tend to our every need; May they be blessed with patience and tenderness to care for their families and themselves with great joy.

We pray for our own mothers who have nurtured and cared for us; May they continue to guide us in strong and gentle ways.

We remember mothers who are separated from their children because of war, poverty, or conflict; May they feel the loving embrace of our God who wipes every tear away.

We pray for women who are not mothers but still love and shape us with motherly care and compassion.

We remember mothers. grandmothers, and great-grandmothers who are no longer with us but who live forever in our memory and nourish us with their love. Amen.

Holy Mary, Mother of God, help me in all my problems. Teach me patience and wisdom. Show me how to train my children to be worthy children of God. Let me be kind and loving, but keep me from foolish indulgence.
Pray for my children, dear Mother. Keep them from all danger, especially from spiritual danger. Help them to become virtuous citizens of their own country, but let them not forget the Kingdom of God.
