Don’t and I repeat don’t try and convince her that the Church is right and that she is wrong. You will get nowhere fast.
I couldn’t agree more. I think that was a mistake that I made out of frustration and it only led to more frustration for me and my pentecostal boyfriend.
I agree with many here when they say to start by being a good example, show her that you love to be Catholic.

God Bless

I agree that you should not give up on her in your prayers but also, be open to God’s will. SPend a lot of time in prayer asking for the wisdom to discern if this is the woman that GOd means for you to marry.

Thanks to everyone for your replies. And especially you, Jax. Sometimes it is very comforting simply to know that other people are going through the same experiences!

Everybody has given me some really good suggestions. I will try to help show her the way and hopefully with God’s grace, she will convert. Thanks everyone 🙂

Its hard walking blind, eh? ive actually followed some of the great advice given, and its startign to look up. like i had said(and others) make sure you know yoru stuff so you can teach her your beliefs on the subject. last night i told her i would stop pushing any of my beleifs on her(which i was horribly doing), but made it clear that i want her to continue looking into it, and i explained some of the fine points of Catholic-non Catholic marrige. i must say, there is a lot of tension released now. and michaelgazin, if she cannot even handle being with you without converting, im sorry, it wasnt meant to be, dont push it. the harder you push things, in truth, the harder you just push your girlfriend away. hold your love close, and hold your beleifs close, but dont try to force them on eachother.
4 3 Love is patient, love is kind. It is not jealous, (love) is not pompous, it is not inflated, 5 it is not rude, it does not seek its own interests, it is not quick-tempered, it does not brood over injury, 6 it does not rejoice over wrongdoing but rejoices with the truth. 7 It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. 8 4 Love never fails
remember that verse from 1 Corinthians 13, and apply it to your relationships, and you will never fail. and i think i need to start following my own advice. Good luck Atreyu
