How do I convince my wife to give up sexual relations for purity? Since she is past the age of conception…

Hebrews 11:11:

By faith [Abraham] received power to generate, even though he was past the normal age–and Sarah herself was sterile–for he thought that the one who had made the promise was trustworthy.

Luke 1:18:

Then Zechariah said to the angel, “How shall I know this? For I am an old man, and my wife is advanced in years.”

Neither Abraham and Sarah nor Zechariah and Elizabeth (for starters) lived as brother and sister

Thanks all, for the replies.

It is just that in the past I have so abused the gift of sex, that I find it hard to accept it.

My wife led me to Jesus and into the Catholic faith.  And believe me, the Catholic church has brought me a peace that I never expected, nor deserve.

It is just that in my past, I did so many sick things sexually...  Well, it all turned to ashes. Turned me away from God. Looking back on it, I feel ill.

I guess that I am looking at sex  like a recovering alcoholic looks at booze.  Just say no!

I know that to deny her is not being fair, especially as she has literally saved my life.  I do love her so much and would never wish to hurt her.

Any good books to read anyone?
