Married a non catholic(in a private catholic church wedding) in 1975. Promised to raise children catholic. Fullfilled my promise while husband did little to foster that and was resentfull of having to sign that right over to marry me. Raised three boys. Middle son married 6 yrs ago. They were married(during the mass by a Jesuit priest) in a Catholic Church 6 yrs ago and vowed to raise the children Catholic. First grandson arrived. Having their child “dedicated” ( the parents are brought forward and prayed over as they accept the responsibility of raising their child in the Christian faith and community untill this child can choose baptism and his own religion) Pastor Dean Curry will preside.

Question: They say that Jesus was baptised as an “Adult” and not a child. How do I answer in support of infant baptism and where would that be in the bible? The second mystery comes to mind when Jesus was “presented” in the temple. Could that mystery tie into the answer of this question?

My heart is aching as I watch the “wandering” and see them move away from the Sacraments and the Truth to the “feel good” church. May this journey be to the Glory of God. I will be present and lay hands on them in prayer.

Thankyou,
Rashelle
