Can you help me explain to Evangelicals why we Catholics baptize infants? I’m having a hard time with Evangelicals who accuse me of being disobediant to God by not being baptized by immersion as an adult as Jesus commanded us. I hear all this biblical “evidence” from them why infant baptism is wrong and a dishonor to God not to be practice beleivers baptism…Help please…I don’t know how I should respond in a way they will understand or accept…when I say we confirm our baptism at confirmation, they say that is a made up tradition and why should the church appoint the time for an individual to confess his her faith?? What if they were sure about their faith at a younger or older age…why does the church decide that and its all tradition anyway…please help me defend myself. I feel so attacked by them and they have the nerve to say they are telling me this in love.Please help.
