How do I defend the prolife position?

I have recently been confronted by several people on the issue of abortion. Since I am extremely prolife, I get into discussions at length with people that approach me on the subject. However, I find myself in a awkward position at times. Would you be kind enough to give me the direct and clear replies that I need, to explain the prolife position?
 
A good resource for answers to pro-abortion arguments is Randy Alcorn’s ProLife Answers to ProChoice Arguments. Alcorn is an Evangelical, so the book may not fully reflect the Catholic prolife understanding, but the book is generally spot-on and valuable for the prolife answers it outlines.
