How do I destroy a Ouija board?

While at a garage sale, we stumbled across a Ouija board in a free bin. I noticed a little kid wanting it because it was glow-in-the-dark, but his parents told him no. I took it because I don’t want some little kid to be messing around in the occult. I am planning on destroying it ASAP. I have heard to break it and sprinkle it with holy water and bury it. I want to know the correct way to destroy this occult item.
 
Just break up the board into pieces and throw it in the trash. If the board is made of wood or some other material that is not breakable with the hands, you can use a hammer on it.
