Do I need to download it onto a MP3 player or a Kindle reader? I don’t have one of those. Can I download it onto my computer?

How do I download it? Thanks.

You can download other kinds of files on a lot of MP3 players to transport them, but there is no software to anything with a file unless it is an MP3 type of file. So if I had my MP3 player with me, I could download a text file from another computer, then take it home and pit it on my computer and do something with it on my computer.

The bibles you have linked to are really made to be online–the books are all separate. If you have a kindle, here is a version of the Douay Rheims for free. Otherwise, go to the Kindle store and find what you like.

Right now, the only Catholic version available for free is usually the DR, because it is the one which is defintely out-of-copyright. Apparently the copyright for the Knox version (my favorite) is in discussion, so it *may *become available.

If you have something like an iPod or Android, I *sooooo totally *recommend iPieta, which does cost a small amount (I think under $5), but which has sooooo much information that it is worth much more. It has the DR on it, as well as the Haydock commentary and Catena Aurea, and a lot of other things. This is an app which provides so much that its price *and *the price of the device are covered in what one would save on buying everything in it!

Link to iPieta

They also have the Bible in Latin, the Early Church Fathers, the documents from all the councils, including all of V2, etc…

Thanks, I have an I phone but not the other players. I guess there is no way to download anything directly to my computer.

Go to Project Gutenberg and look there for the Douay-Rheims. I would link it but you’d get the mobile link which is not so great.

That looks really nice too 🙂 So you have a regular Kindle but not a Kindle Fire?

At a minimum, you know you can watch and listen to EWTN on your computer, right?

Yes, I can get EWTN on my computer but I want the app bible but I guess I can’t get that on my computer. I guess I need to get a Kindle for Christmas.
