How do I embrace being a man?

I am finding great direction from the book Imitation of Christ by Thomas a Kempis. I read a little each morning and again at night. I hope it helps you have the fantastic life you are meant to have!
I might have to check that out. Most of the Catholic literature I have previously checked out was more the philosophical side. I feel like I focus too much on the intellectual part and not the part about having a relationship with Christ.

The more I think about it, the more I realize the things I regret are not mine to regret. They were the choices made by others or my environment and yet I blame myself for this. It almost seems like I blame myself as a way to cope with not being able to admit I am not in control. Even as an adult I will myself in such situations. Any thoughts on how to address this? I think the Serenity Prayer would be a good place to start.
