My cousin is an atheist, but actively sought out the truth for a time before becoming relatively sure of atheism. He sees unexplained suffering as the reason a loving God does not exist. One question he asked me, for which I had no answer, was this: If God is indeed Omniscient like we say he is, he knows everyone’s destiny from the very beginning. That being said, isn’t God creating human beings that are doomed to exercise their free will toward damnation in hell? It creates a paradox, because those humans freely choose sin over Him, yet at the same time, God knew all along they would make those choices. Could you explain this paradox? If not, is there another way to explain through logic why a loving God does exist?
