How do I explain a simple way to Protestants and some Catholics that Mary is the mother of God?
I was in a conversation with a Lutheran and I said Mary is the Mother of God, but he looked at me crazy and said NO, she is not. I tried explaining by saying Jesus is the Trinity. But he said Jesus is not God, he is the son of God, he sits and the right hand of God. Then I asked a Catholic next to me to help me explain. She had said, well she is not the mother of God, she is the mother of Jesus not God. I told her but Jesus was 100% man and 100%God. Then she had said Jesus wasn’t God until the resurrection. I did find an article in the latest Catholic Answers magazine showing all the versus that show us Jesus is God, but i still don’t think they understand and think i am going crazy. Is there a simple way to give them the the answer?
