How do I explain to a 4-year-old why Jesus was an only child?

At supper tonight, our four-year-old daughter asked why Mary and Joseph didn’t have any more children. Please help me respond in a way that is appropriate for her age.
 
Here is one possibility:
Jesus is God’s Son, honey. Mary and Joseph were asked by the Father to devote their lives to his Son and to him only.
