How do I get rid of blessed palm leaves?

I have many, many blessed palm leaves from past Palm Sundays. What is the proper way of “throwing them out,” for lack of better words?
 
The palm leaves that are blessed on Palm Sunday are burned and used for blessed ashes on the following Ash Wednesday. I recommend calling your parish to ask if it would be interested in your collection for making Ash Wednesday ashes. If the parish has all the palm leaves it needs, you can burn the leaves yourself and bury the ashes in the earth.
