Pray and make sacrifices for sinners. Offer others encouragement. Listen to peoples’s troubles. Spread the faith by posting on CAF. Follow St. Therese’s Little way. Things will get better. God bless you. Praying for you.

I am in a similar situation, so I try to volunteer my time instead of money. Ideally, I would also give money, but you do what you can. One way to look at it is how much is your time worth? I make about $8.15 an hour, so I consider one hour of service to be a donation of $8.15. Then it’s easy to figure out how many hours you need to work to “give” 10%. This service does not have to be out of the house. You could do extra chores or errands for family members. Fasting can be a service to God more directly.

God calls everyone to give what they can. For homeless, poor people, that might just mean one act of kindness per day. For a billionaire, it is going to be much, much harder. That is why Jesus says wealthy people have such a hard time. It’s a good motivation for me. We don’t have money, but we have God. Someday we will get to heaven and be on the same level as everyone else! All are equal in heaven.
Time, talent or treasure. M
That is usually an “and”, not “or”. If you are able, you should do all three.

I am cognizant of the germane of the situation. I used the word “or” since the OP noted that they were short of treasure to share at this time. I wanted to point out, as so many have done much better than I could state, that they could still help their fellow man in others ways.
