When I heard the information about the bible being different from Protestants and Catholic, I was really confused… Please tell me what are the basis of a Catholic Bible… Thanks in advance…
Catholic Bibles have 46 books in the Old Testament, Protestant Bibles have 39. Protestant Bibles do not include the following Old Testament books: Tobit, Judith, Wisdom of Solomon, Sirach/Ecclesiasticus, Baruch, 1 & 2 Maccabees. Non-Catholic Bibles also omit parts Daniel and Esther.
A Catholic Bible will include those 7 books in the Old Testament mixed in with all the other books, they will not be separated in a different part. Some non-Catholic Bibles will include those books in a separate section they call "apocrypha " or “deuterocanonical” but a Catholic Bible would not do that.
