How do I make confession after several years?

I cut myself off from the Church completely and I have not been to mass or confession for 8 years. I want to return and go to confession however I am very anxious and embarrassed, I’m worried the priest will be shocked when I say I haven’t been to confession in so long. I have no idea where to start with confessing my sins.
