So i’m having these strange dreams since my conversion. They are really bad, sexual and they make me feel horrible when i wake up.
Before my conversion, i sinned a lot on the sexual area, but the strange thing is that i didn’t have these dreams, they started right after i converted.
So what are your suggestions on what should i do to make them stop?

Start a journal and created dialogues with the other characters in the dream.

Also create a dialogue with the actions, as though they were people.

My wife is also a convert and she told me about getting really bad aches and pains whenever she entered a Church in the months approaching her baptism. We both think that this was some sort of demonic activity to get her to stop attending. It stopped the day she was baptised.

It’s entirely possible that this is similar. The best thing you can do is not let it bother you. You are not culpable for your dreams. Try not to think about them and just say a Hail Mary for purity when you wake. Try to be happy in the knowledge that you are not sinning.

I’m sorry but I don’t think this is good advice. If the dreams are sexual the best thing is not to dwell on them and realise that what happens in your sleep cannot be a sin.

Not a sin is true but the source of the dreams is still there in the subconscious mind and will continue to surface one way or another.

Perhaps, but writing down details of the dreams won’t resolve the issues. I would suggest to the OP that perhaps this is a manifestation of guilt for past sexual sins and that it might be helpful to bring this to a spiritual director. Also pray about it and try to meditate that through Baptism and confession, Christ has wiped away your sins and you need to accept that you are forgiven and that you can let go of the scars of sexual sin.

I think you’re very right there, when i converted i had much problems with the guilt i was feeling, but since the time i converted i just thought the guilt had passed away

Don’t need the details. A dialogue personifies and gives voice. let’s say Fornication for example

Me: Why do you bother me at night with such images
F: I am still part of who you are and you try to ignore me.

Me: yes, and I have moved on from my sinful past.
F: You call me sinful. cant you see that I am a need within you? Don’t ignore me.

Me: You may be the energy behind a need but there are better, holier ways to express your energy.
F: Like what? And why are you changing our relationship?

etc, etc,

Get the idea?

But in the dream itself do you feel guilty?
What do you feel then? What kind of mood?

I don’t remember much, but i recall that in the dream i had this night, i really wanted to do the sinful activity and in the dream i wanted to ask someone if it is really sinful to do it.

I dont think we have any control over dreams at all. I have been clean off drugs for 12 years and I still dream a couple times a week that I am doing drugs. Has not stopped in the least bit and I have no desire at all to do drugs again.

Sexual dreams do not go away completely in my experience. It might be months that I do not have one then I will have several in a single month then go months again without having one.

They come and go in waves. The real thing you should be concerned about, as I see it, is not trying to stop these dreams. It is accepting that they will happen and not letting it bother you too much

I know, it’s just that they’re happening really frequently (they sometimes happen even five or more times a week, so basically the whole week) and they never happened when i was living in mortal sin.

So how to expect to get real answers from dream?
I think it is bad idea to give too much attention to sexual dreams. Bad idea. OP could think too much about content and that would be counterproductive.
Dreams are not sinful and we shouldn’t give too much attention to dreams.

OP speak to confessioner or spiritual director for advices.

I’ll try talking to a priest about this, but i feel a little ashamed to talk to anyone about this.

Don’t be - it’s not something you’re doing deliberately. Believe me, he’s heard much worse!!

Don’t be ashamed to discuss with a priest.

I tend to agree that sometimes when we’re making progress in the spiritual arena, the devil seems to go into overdrive to try to knock us down.

Sometimes disturbing dreams are simply our fears and anxieties rearing their heads, such as the fear that you might somehow fall back into sin, or being haunted by guilt from past sins.

When I have a disturbing dream, I try to just say a prayer and trust God and the Blessed Mother to help me and remove the anxieties troubling me.

You should talk to your preist. He will reassure you that dreams are not sinful. You are not responsible for them, you don’t control them. Don’t dwell on them, when you wake up say a quick prayer and move on with your day.

I struggled with this a lot after I got really into my faith. They eventually went away on their own after months of having them.

I think I part of it is getting to the root of why you’re having these dreams. Are you feeling guilt about your past?

Keep up with the prayer and ask st Michael to protect you as you sleep. I’ll pray they go away
