Hello. My husband is in RCIA, was raised evangelical. I was born and raised Catholic. He uses terminology that I do not understand. He believes that once someone “accepts Jesus as their personal savior they are saved and once saved always saved”. How can I explain Catholic faith and our life journey with our beloved sacraments to help him understand. He has said to me the Catholic Church can’t save you only Jesus can save you. Also, when did that belief about salvation come into practice in Protestant practice - historically?
Thank you for your time. God bless you and your work.
