With Thanksgiving upon us, I’m sure I’ll be getting alot of the Rapture / End Times talk again this year from my brother-in-law.
The last conversation we had, I told him all about John Darby and so on and he came back with, “Oh no, even the early christians believed in the Rapture”.
He believes that Christ is coming to rein for a thousand years sometimes after the Tribulation. It’s hard to get a word in edgewise. I told him that I feel that his belief system is one of the reasons we are in such turmoil, many Fundamentalists don’t want to stand up to all the evils going on in America, because these Rapture people all think that they are fixing to be zapped out of here -so, they are just sitting back waiting on their free ticket to Heaven.
Is there a clear statement that I could make on all this that would shock him so badly that he might at least be willing to read a Catholic perspective ?
