How do I respond to my Atheist friend?

My friend who is a staunch atheist told me that the only reason I am Christian is because I was born in America to a Christian family. He says that if I were born in China I’d likely be Buddhist and that if I were born in Afaganistan I’d likely be Muslim. How do I respond?
 
Your friend has committed a logical fallacy known as “the genetic fallacy”. The genetic fallacy attempts to invalidate a position based on how the position originated.

While it’s true that, had you been born in China you may now be Buddhist, this does not thereby invalidate the truth of Christianity (or Buddhism) .

Point this out to him and ask him to give you an argument for atheism.
