In the past I used to say only the Rosary and the Divine Mercy Chaplet. Inmow know about the Holy Wounds chaplet and the Seven Sorrows Rosary. I want to say all of them., but I sadly have a full time job that keeps me busy most of the day. Do any of you have any ideas? I have been trying to say the Seven Sorrows Rosary in chunks throughout the day, the Holy Wounds Chaplet when I can, the Divine Mercy Chaplet and the Rosary before bed time**. I know they are private devotions and can be said as one wishes, but I want to do so reverently and as bst I can**. Thank you!

I would probably do a daily Rosary and the Divine Mercy Chaplet just like you used to do. Then perhaps switch to the Holy Wounds Chaplet and Seven Sorrows Rosary to do during Lent.

You could go by the traditional months on the Church Calendar.

June is Sacred Heart of Jesus. You could pray the Sacred Heart chaplet this month.

July is the Precious Blood, perfect for the 5 wounds devotion.

Rosary in Marian months, etc etc.

God Bless you too, and I’m definitely struggling but trying 😅!

May I suggest you memorize Psalm 91:1-12?
The Psalms are all about worshipping the Most High x 3.
Center your focus within the interior place where Elohim dwells within you. Talk to your Daddy. Tell him things you’d say if you were actually meeting him in person.
Here is where the Holy Spirit takes over with prayer on our behalf, because we often don’t know how we should pray.
“Lord you have been our dwelling place throughout every generation…from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God.” Psalm 90
Our Father who art in Heaven…Amen.
Then start Psalm 91:1-12.
Allow the Spirit of Elohim guide you in perfect worship and adoration. It may last minutes, it may last hours. Glory in God on High.
Shalom

I think that you should develop a schedule of prayer. Don’t try to say all of these types of prayer. Say some of them. Say some of them every day.

Please don’t think me presumptuous, but rather a older soul brother in Christos.
Holy scripture, Matthew 6:7 says: “But when you pray, use not vain repetitions, as those who are of the nations: for they think they shall be heard through their repetitious words.”
However, to pray without ceasing, is by the Holy Spirit who guides prayer so if you find yourself praying a written prayer over and over like “Lord Jesus Son of the Living God, have mercy on me a sinner,” don’t fret.
Nothing beats Holy Scripture (aka Tanakh both old & new covenants).
Psalm 69:9 says: “Zeal for your house consumes me Adonai” (Adonai = Lord). To experience a constant presence of zeal for the Most High x 3 (Trinity) is living prayer through grace.
Something we rarely hear of, or to my knowledge isn’t often said refers to circumcision of the heart which occurred for the first time in the New Covenant between Elohim and his people Israel (which believers are grafted into) when the Holy Spirit appeared upon the Apostles as tongues of fire on Pentecost. Here are a few quotes relating to circumcision of the heart:
Jeremiah 4:4 Circumcise yourselves to the Lord; remove the foreskin of your hearts, O people of Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem; lest my wrath go forth like fire, and burn with none to quench it, because of the evil of your deeds.”
Deuteronomy 30:6 And the Lord your God will circumcise your heart and the heart of your offspring, so that you will love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul, that you may live.
Philippians 3:3 For we are the circumcision, who worship (pray) by the Spirit of God and glory in Christ Jesus and put no confidence in the flesh.
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.

More and more we find the remnant of Spiritual Israel is withdrawing from the world at large to meet their Daddy–ABBA–in prayer because zeal for his house consumes them. All is met and great grace abounds.
However, there are times of dryness when it seems the Ruach of Elohim has abandoned us. But he is even closer than before during this silence. Such silence–when we persist in prayer–develops us as the Holy Spirit (Ruach of Elohim aka Ruach HaKodesh) refines us and teaches each of us what we specifically require.

John 16:12-15 “I have much more to say to you, more than you can now bear. But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come. He will glorify me because it is from me that he will receive what he will make known to you. All that belongs to the Father is mine. That is why I said the Spirit will receive from me what he will make known to you.”

PS I keep hearing more and more of this book: EXPERIENCING THE DEPTHS OF JESUS CHRIST by Madame Jeanne Guyon 1685

Catholic.org has a full bio on her.

In terms of devotions, my suggestion is at least the daily Rosary. If you call say all 15/20 decades, all the best. 5 decades is good.

Then the Divine Mercy Chaplet. It takes only a few minutes, and it’s a good prayer.

I don’t know if you practice the 7 Sorrows devotion, but it’s also only very short but meritorious.

If you can’t say all of them, I’d say prioritize the Rosary. But ultimately it’s up to you.

Sounds like this has high jacked your life. If you’re going to be a responsible, productive person with a career and future, then you’ll need to get this apparent addiction to devotion under control. Even in a monastery, such things can be a problem if they interfere with one’s obligations to the community.

You can do one decade of the Seven Sorrows chaplet a day. If you wake up earlier it might help you find time for praying.

Huh oh, Colonel, you telling porkie pies?
Monastics we know pray for hours on end! The rest of the mundane can go pound sand.
People do so much to get it right…
What did Jesus say about the stone he took from the water? He broke it open to show it’s dry, saying this is how many hearts will be.

People please look up what circumcision of the heart means!

Matthew 21:44 He who falls on this Rock will be broken to pieces, but woe to him on whom it falls; he will be crushed to death.

Matthew 6:7 And when you pray don’t rattle off long prayers like the pagans who think they will be heard because they use so many words. Don’t be like them. After all, God, who is your Father, knows your needs before you ask …
Connect this with circumcision of the heart and make every breath prayer.
Maybe I misunderstand you…

A lot of great iPhone apps are available that say the daily rosary for you. A true gift from God to be able to play the rosary over your car’s audio, while you drive home from a long work day. My personal favorite is Rosary Deluxe available on Apple’s AppStore.

Every night, EWTN plays Mother Angelica’s Daily Rosary. You could tune in and say it along with her.
