How do I show a Calvinist that free-will exists?

I have often debated with my protestant friend and he wanted to know more about justification. When we discussed it, the main issue was with free will. He keeps referring to the hardening of pharaoh’s heart to support that we do not have free will. I am having trouble answering this with scripture. Thank you very much for taking the time to read this.
