Sit him down and start with the words, “You know that guy we know… well… he’s great in bed!”

are you this rude and crass in real life ?
Well apparently, telling her to tell him the truth is wrong since my previous comment was deleted.

Why not tell her the truth? She has sinned, she continues to sin. She is not repentant and if she really does feel for this man, she needs to put herself aside and tell him exactly what she did. Then she needs to make a choice. Either carry on sinning or decide to stop, entirely. That means, no more sex or other acts of sex, until marriage.

Either tell her the truth or don’t bother.

Every single person posting, is for telling of Truth. The key is to do so in a charitable, kind, and factual way. Insults, shock, or playing on her emotions of guilt will yield little fruit.
  1. She should tell him, not because of any sort of obligation to tell him, but rather because this information has little chance of not coming to light. And they should stop living immorally if they are doing so right now. This is the advice she was given and until you posted, this advice was given as charitably as possible with a much information as we have right now.
  2. If this relationship is serious then they need to surround themselves with quality characters. Sadly, I do not think they have the strength, foresight, or maturity to do this.
  3. I am shocked by the pass that Matt is getting. A previous poster went so far as to say that Matt is obviously a guy that respects sexuality within a relationship. Multiple partners in your 20s? This is what we define as respecting sex in a relationship. Is Matt as egregious as the other two? It would apear he is not. But how do we know? She only told us what she knows. Yet he does not know that Joe, the guy they hang out with is a former partner of hers. Perhaps there are things she does not know as well.
It would be far better if these two recognized their love was a mirror of God’s love and started living for each other and Christ. In the bedroom and at bars with friends included.
