Or, alternatively, you could give it to your parish for Masses at the parish for the couple’s intentions. As a rule of thumb, the suggested Mass stipend is usually about $10 per Mass offered. So, for example, if you planned to spend $100 on a gift, you could ask for ten Masses for this couple. When you receive a Mass card for the promised Masses, you can send it to the couple with a letter expressing the gratitude you and your husband feel for the support they have offered over the years.
