How do I use a missal

[Hoxbar]

I’ve tried to use the missal during mass. I’m lost. I asked father to help me tonight in RCIA. He just said, “you’ll learn it in time”. Kinda upset me, but can anyone help?

Which form of the Mass (English or Latin) are you at, and which missal are you attempting to use?

I use a small prayer book “New Key of Heaven” ,in print for apprx. 40 years, to follow the mass. It is small , easy to read, and very detailed.
The readings are omitted so the ones provided at mass have to also be utilized.
The easiest place to get lost is the Eucharistic Prayers, so pay attention to the first sentence to see which prayer is being used for that day.
Keep at it! You will get the hang of it in a short time! May God Bless you in your efforts!
