This may sound like an odd question, especially since I am a Latin Rite Catholic! But I’ve never seen intinction done in any Latin-Rite Church before.
In the Byzantine Catholic Church we visited they used a silver spoon covered in icons to bring the blood-soaked Eucharist out of a silver chalice and then carefully “dropped” it into the comminicants mouth.
Is this how local churches of the Latin Rite have communion by intinction?
Just Curious
