how do muslims view Jesus?

i was wondering how they view Him; I know as a prophet, but racially, How? coz i was thinking maybe they don’t treat Him as a semitic person because of the verses in the Koran…

Yes, they know he was a Jew. They just ignore the inconsistency this carries with their general views on Jewish people. Consistent standards never were Islam’s strong point.

Many Muslims have told me how they believe in Jesus and how Jews do not and that he was a great prophet as was Moses etc… My question has always been if you believe he was a prophet you must believe he was a false prophet or you would be a Christian. The response is usually…we just don’t believe he was the last prophet :whacky:

They claim that all his “real” teachings were lost and/or corrupted, so they won’t have to deal with all the discrepancies between Jesus’ words and Mohammed’s. Pretty convenient, eh?

We believe he is a Great Prophet of God and a decendant of Abraham through the Line of Jacob ( Israel).

God in teh Quran denounces the Jews who didnt believe Jesus was a prophet. He brought them miracles and they strill wanted to Kill him. Hec God denounces the jews many times in the OT. Why do pople try to make this exclusive to Islam only?

Islam has Less verses that denounces Jews than the OT itself . More denounciation came ofcourse after they attemped to Kill Jesus .

whats so strange about that ? !!! Why Islam specificly is targeted to be called anti jews?

In the whole life of Islam we didnt attack or kill 5% of the amount of jews who died in the Christian lands during and befroe the holocausts.

hope peopel wake up to the facts instead of projecting their sins on others!

Ok i see that they are inconsistent. because one cannot claim to have a prophet who is of a race who most of you and your fellow believers despise(or want to be wiped off the face of the earth).
it’s just totally not logical.

Some are decevied. Some are obstinate in their sin even after being presented the full Gospel.

No, because we believe that Jesus is in Heaven now (there’s a philosophical debate about whether ‘time’ even exists outside of creation as we know it, but that’s beyond this thread), and will return to Earth as God wills in the same condition as he left it, whereupon he will age and eventually die.

And as I’ve just said on another thread, ‘Muslims’ do not hate ‘the Jews’ or want them wiped off the face of the Earth. The Qur’an spends a lot of time talking about the covenant God made with the children of Israel, and Jesus is a part of that.

Time does exist if you look at radio/tv/internet etc…
As dimensions! If you look at that in another way, we cant see the radio waves but they do exist as we pick them up using existing technology. Hence different times outside our own.

The islamic allah is the same God as the Jewish and Christian one.
His words and deeds through his prophets have been corrupted by man, who is sinful.
Islam preaches that women are equal to man, yet Islamic nations and authorities treat their women less than second class citizens. Some mosques segregate the sexes. All this is based on the interpretations of humans, who are sinful.
Let’s turn to the word of God, do as he tells us, live our lives as we were instructed by Christ. We also are duty bound to evangelise our faith, let us not be afraid as St. Francis was and preach the good news of Jesus to our Muslim brethern.

actualy muslims view jesus as a forth class prophet who couldn’t give any law like moses gave(that came from god).what an honor for our holy lord!

We believe Jesus was the messenger of God…

He may have been born a Jew, that dosent matter…

Messengers have been sent to humanity throughout history starting with Adam pbuh and finally ending with Mohamed pbuh…

The duty and task of the messengers was to reveal the message of God to humanity, it was then a test upon the individual to abide by Gods will, ultimately each individual soul would face his creator on Judgment Day and answer of his/her life…

When each and every messenger was sent his duty was to clear and destroy the corruptions and reveal Gods message…

**Moses was to reveal Gods message to the Hebrews, after the passing of Moses the Jews began to corrupt there faith, so in time Jesus was sent to stand against the corruptions thus he was not a Jew

this has nothing to do with his race but his beliefs, he revealed the message to the people…

At this point Judaism became obsolete because Jesus had revealed Gods will and he had replaced all messages that came before him…

Jesus however has not died he was taken before his time and will return to humanity before the day of Judgment to lead the faith full against the corrupt kaffir,.

The Christians corrupted the message of God to unimaginable ends.

And finally the final messenger was sent Muhammad PBUH, who revealed the final testament, the message which replaced all messages before**

The one true god did send those books again, its called the Quran the final testament…

everything which is in the gospels or the Torah which contradicts the Quran is a human corruption,

the message Mohammed was tasked to reveal to humanity was the FINAL TESTAMENT, preserved in the Quran, the full stop if you will.

The final chance for humanity to abide by Gods will or face the consequences on Judgment Day…
