So how is a normal person’s spirit conceived?
ok it wasnt a very good way of putting it , i know.
the way i see it our soul is intertwined with our life. when our life begins so does our soul and our soul is that of human nature unlike jesus whose soul was not of a man but was put into the body of a man to bring about god on earth

on a side note … WOOHOO ive made 100 🙂

I guess the thing that is just puzzling to everyone who has commented is, you seem willing to accept Christ’s miracles. You seem willing to accept the other prophecies about Christ. But you reject a virgin birth, which rejects the prophecy of Isaiah 7:14, which then rejects Christ.

yep i agree that god intervened , just not in the same way … jesus soul was that of god not of a man. the physical body was concieved in the normal way but his spiritual side was from much higher as he was god placed into the body of a man and so god on earth and the son of god.

spiritually he was concieved in mary in a way unlike how everyone is as it wasnt the soul of a man but of god. the physical side of it was just like any other.

god is not limited but man is therefore the physical limits of mary were the same as any other woman and jesus human form was concieved as any other would be but it is in the non physical where the difference of between being man and being god come about. then as he had the soul of god he was able to do things on earth that man was not able.
Alrighty, then! 👍

I think this make a great case for 40,001 “Christian” denominations.

When there is no authentic interpreter of Scripture, when there is no central authority, when there is no Magisterium, I guess all sorts of beliefs are permitted. :whacky:

i believe the others because they are completely of god and not of a man. mary was only a human not a god and so had the physical limits of any woman so the physical child was concieved as any other with normal intercourse and fertilisation. anything jesus did after that was done completely of himself as god.

i dont expect anybody to agree with my beliefs. i have always been told my ways of thinking are very wierd but thats just me. i dont see how the difference on whether mary was a virgin or not is vital to whether one is christian or not much the same way as some would argue about whether the six day creation or the literal adam story are so important to being a christian or not are. so long as the belief in the trinity and jesus being god and of god are there you have a base to your being christian.

So you feel only the magisterium have the spiritual ability of interpretatio sermonum?

It isn’t that she wants to lump the Mormons in with us. She wants to lump us in with the Mormons. Her intentions are clear. She views anyone not Catholic to be not Christian and therefore fitting for her list. The problem with her theory is, the Catholic Church does acknowledge us but not the Mormons so she doesn’t know what to do. Her sacred list includes everyone under the sun, so she will go with it to her grave. She wants disunity and will continue to bang her drum of disunity until the last beat.
Great thought and amen.

i dont expect anybody to agree with my beliefs.
Understood.

As this is a forum to discuss religious beliefs–particularly non-Catholic beliefs–you are certainly free to express your thoughts here.

I’m just saying that your beliefs clearly illustrate why this:

[SIGN1]Your Total “Christian Denominations” Count for today is **41363 ** :bigyikes:
Please pray for Christian unity (John 17; Eph 4:5; Matt 16:18) [/SIGN1]
has been so facilely achieved.

Certainly, you are not alone in this belief, and there’s a church that you can find that professes this. 🤷

Jack Chick can insist the validity of anything he wants, but it doesn’t make it true.

But whether or not you can “validly” argue they can be included on the list, can’t you see how hurtful it is to those who are Christian that you “validly” lump them together with people who are not even Christian?

Respectfully,
Maria
thank you!

Agreed.

Hurtful? No, I’m sorry, but I don’t see how putting Mormons on the list of 40,000 Christian denominations hurts anyone’s feelings.
Mormanism is based on a false prophet, Proven false by God, By history, by science, they spread the lie that satan first told in the garden that man would be like God. It is very insulting for you to put my faith in the same category.

I apologize sincerely, Brother and Friend.

Maria, do you really feel that “Christians” such as this guy can be legitimately included as a Christian denomination, but Mormons can’t?
So rather than concluding that this list is not a valid list, you then connect my faith to the faith of this pedophile. very nice. I refuse to hold your faith responsible for pedophiles who are ordained by your church. I cant believe you would through that stone.😦

mary was a normal person. she had normal functions of a human. jesus was god but came in spirit to earth in the form or body of a person while still having the soul of god. in other words i see it as a split between the physical and the spiritual. the body of a man but not the soul of a man but the soul of god. therefore mary only having the body and soul of a human is limited to the physical possibilities of a human. jesus being god in soul was able to do things unlike those of the earthly beings. so yes after that i can get my head around god becoming man (spiritually ) , the trinity , the resurrection and if my understanding of the last one you mentioned is right then my reasoning above also describes that one too.
So God can breath life into billions of dead cells(Jesus’s dead body) but Hes unable to breath life into one cell(Marys egg) He can speak the universe into existence, but one sperm something any man can produce by the billions, NOPE God cant do that. Wow you think God is impotent! You think I have a power that God does not have!

It’s not the fact that the person is/was a pedophile but that he teaches that it is okay to do so.That’s what the issue is: and this man claims to be christain just as do the mormons and JWs do.
Do you feel that The Christian Scientists are christians or not?

And this only illustrates your hardened heart and desires for disunity. What you do here and every time you post your falsified list shows where you want the church.

Furthermore don’t claim to want unity and then broadcast a falsified disunity. The unity you want starts with you.

Personally i don’t care for using any number other that 2. Because of the fact that there is more than 1 other protestant “releigion” shows to me that protestantism is a failed experiement.

So rather than concluding that this list is not a valid list…
I would like to see documentation for what you believe is the valid list.

I am not sure that is the intent, but I have been trying to get across the point that your understanding is what is being heard.

Well 2 is closer to 1 than 41,363.

(although I disagree with the “failed experiment” part.)
