How do Protestatnts defend the canon of the NT

Yes he did. He said the gates of hell would never prevail He promised the Church that the Holy Spirit would guide the church until the end of time. By the way the gift of the Holy SPirit leading the CHurch means it can never fail.

Jesus said this to the leader of the Church. Luke 10:16 He who hears you hears me.

Matt Whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven.

Now how could Jesus promise them the gift of the Holy Spirit when it comes to the teachings of the CHurch and then turn around and say the Holy SPirit can lead them wrong???:eek::confused:

What dose ‘the gates of hell’ not prevailing against the church have to do with infalibility???

That question is for each and every verse you referred to.
 
Christ instructed the Church to preach everything he taught Matt 28:19-20

ANd promised the PROTECTION of the HOLY SPRIIT to guide you INTO ALL TRUTH John 16:13

Um that the devil will never enter the Church. That the Church will always hold the fullness of the truth!

True,but not all of us are bishops/pastors who have much more responsibilities.

Exactly! Jesus spoke directly to Peter alone,not all 12. It is no different with the keys? Many claim (Mormons) John also received the keys? :eek: Where did Jesus give John any keys? :confused:

In context to the question asked of me, I don’t understand why you comment like this? We were discussion why Peter was called the one leader of the early church and the response was because he was told by Jesus to ‘feed My sheep’.!.!
