I’m willing to bet that most of these people who live this lifestyle suffer great moments of despair and emptiness.

I’m not going to argue with you on this, larkin. I’m just sayin’. 🤷

And I think you know it’s true as well. There’s not a single person who has lived the drugs, sex and rock-n-roll lifestyle that’s been celebrated in song and story that hasn’t woken up in the morning thinking, “What in the world? Why aren’t I happy? Why do I feel such misery?”.

That’s because they’re looking for love in all the wrong places. And their hearts will be restless until they rest in God.

I don’t know, but I’m guessing that the people who live this lifestyle you’re advocating probably have a higher use of anti-depressants, higher rate of addiction, divorce, suicide.

I dunno…they usually seem quite…um…miserable. When they’re sober that is.
PR you are so right. They are looking for anything to feel the emptyness. Drugs and when that isn’t enough more drugs. But they get deeper and deeper into a deep dark whole.

I remember one day I was a kid in church and we had this Priest and he said that you people are both working to give your children more more. Well you children need you not the material things. He said that while you are out buying your kids everything the devil is taking over their souls. They need your time, your love, not nike tennis shoes. That was in then, shows my age:D I was like yeah right.

Well guess what, The Priest was right. There are so many kids on drugs. How many are given everything and don’t know what they want. But how many were taken to Church. Why for so many was video games more important.

Well now the devils got em. And its hell to get them back. Drugs is the norm, sex is nothing.

And Larkin trust me us Catholic girls may have started a little late, but guess what? He married me for it. And he is still here. And I know Billy Joel Too:D

Well my kids are young but they know God. and they Love God. And they have been on many wrong roads. but they know the path. Just like I know the path. And I know its hard, but its not supposed to be fun.

And Larkin while I could not be a holy roller as they put it, I do have faith. And I can have fun and still have God. And I pray every single day with those Saints that my kids will never get tied up in drugs. I KNOW how hard it is for them. It was hard for me for goodness sakes. PR you are so right with the empty promises of the devil, and its so bad. These kids are so screwed up.

They opened a lowes here about 15 years ago. Over 1000 applicants before they could get 100 to pass the drug test:rolleyes:

Drug are so bad. Coke is like pot in my days. People have no idea what crack can do to them.

I remember when I was 18 out drinking. The one kid said I don’t know how I am going to make it up my driveway. I thought Oh I know how I am, because my Mother is WAITING up:eek:and when she gets a hold of my ponytail she is going to help me up that driveway. And I will be home for a lo…ng time. And I was too.

And you are so right in all you are saying PR, my one customer is 29 years old and on depression meds to help get her off booze and coke. Its so sad. And God forgive me but I swear to you she looks older then me.

yeah, they should never leave their homes at night or have fun doing, you know, stuff that men do (subject of “sin”), cuz they might, you know, invite rapists or murderers to, well, rape or kill them

might burqas help?
No what she saying is these people are so screwed up on drugs that they don’t know what the heck they are doing.

And you know exactly what shes talking about.

But larkin honestly what is agnostic? I mean I hear it all the time. Many guys ask me about God and tell me they want to believe they just don’t know for sure is God exists.

I mean that personally does not make sense to me. I guess I am more like my Dad everyday. He was like you are either Hot or Cold no in between.

So I guess I can only see it is you believe in God or you don"t. You really have to make a choice. I mean you have to know what your heart says. And in your heart you either believe or you don’t:shrug:

Which “people” are on drugs? No I don’t know what she is talking about.

God bless you Dokimas. I personally do not do the street witnessing thing. Well Yes I do.😃 But I do it my own way is all. Actually they are having a bike run for the little sisters of the poor I think next week. My Husband loves his bike. So I believe we will hit that run weather permitting.

I am no saint either, but my love for God is strong. I like to have a drink or so, but I also know that you must always be in control and know your limit. I love the fun things in life also. I am a cross maybe between you and larkin;) But I believe you can enjoy the fun things in life and still love and live for God. But I admire you for doing what you feel God is asking of you, and I pray I am doing my part also.

I like to brag about my patch on my vest. Loud pipes saves lives Jesus Christ saves souls. For my aniversary my daughter got me a pin for my vest. Follow the SON.

You know what they Say Jesus died for bikers too:D

But I would rather cry with the sinners and celebrate with the saints. They help me now, and they are crying with me, but someday we will celebrate together too.

When my husband and I started this new church you should have seen the old ladys:eek: I thought the one was going to have a heart attack when she saw him ride on his bike, plus he has a bald head:eek: He never did have good hair. Well needless to say 5 years later he helps them in the kitchen, etc. They LOVE him, hug him. and they love bikers now. 😃
very interesting

you started a “new church”?

Well Larkin since you seem be such an inocent all of a sudden, let me tell you. There are some bars believe it or not, that you should not go into. The people in these bars do drugs, and sell drugs and are not in their right mind.

And also if it is dark at night it used to be in certain areas but today in MOST areas you are not safe. So glad I can teach you something.🙂

I’m just wondering why someone who claims he “sins a fair amount” would not be into doing drugs. Clearly the “sinful” part is not a deterrent.

And I’ve heard that while you’re doing the drugs, it’s quite enjoyable.

So why would an agnostic who doesn’t care about “sinning” eschew drugs? Is it only the illegal part that’s a disincentive?

It’s Saturday night and I have been out. I was just singing to myself. I’m an aesthete and a poet and a drummer and a sinner. My crowd parties and dances and enjoys many of the beauties and pleasures of this world. [SIGN]We sin a fair amount,[/SIGN] repent a little, and live a lot. If you don’t live a bit, then ya got nothin’ to talk about in the locker room…
Yeah PR I am quite confused myself. I go to bars, my crowd goes to parties, and dances and enjoys many of the beauties and pleasures of this world. And I can honestly say I have done this often and never commited any sin. I have commited much sin in my life but not at the bar.🤷

And yes I have had a few drinks, but have controlled myself in a respectfull manner. My husband also. 🤷

Unless of course what are the beauties and pleasures of this world. My def. of it is sitting by the bar and looking out to the river. The river is so beautiful at night. The lights are awesome. And it is such a pleasure to enjoy a few drinks, a wonderful meal, and a good band. I don’t see where that would stop me from getting into heaven:confused: If so I would stop at once:eek:

well, good for you. I don’t think that it matters much where one sins, do you?

Interestingly, I was not talking about bars nor did I mention one.

What?

I don’t do drugs. What the heck are you talking about? And why am I the focus of so many questions here?

No not at all its the sin you do not where you do it. But it is you who said you go out at nights and sin not me. But I guess you are right there you can sin anywhere.

Maybe if going out on Saturday nights are when you sin maybe you should stay in on Saturday nights and try not to.:rotfl::tsktsk:

Why not? Its a Catholic Church of course.
Obviously I am wondering how an individual can just start a Catholic church. Care to explain? What is the church’s name? Who is its priest? Etc. I have never heard of an individual starting a Catholic church.

*God bless you for your witness. If the sum total of your life is the saving of a single soul, it will have been worth it.

Blessings
Cinette:)*
Thank you. I fall very short of what I’d like to be.

I did not say that I sinned when I went out, but of course, at some point in my life, I have sinned just about everywhere.

And Saturdays are no more sinful for me than any other day? Do YOUR sins tend to congregate on certain days of the week? You really don’t get what I am saying. Oh well.
